Really ? The meat of the word is not knowing your bible like a lawyer so you can argue it and make people feel less worthy than you but it is this : the word of faith which we preach : that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. And that’s it. So simple.
But people have it back to front. They think they have to know the entire bible in order to walk in power. Rather it is this , a focal point of certainty. People don’t want a difficult life , a complicated life. They don’t want something that is difficult to do or understand. They need something , which is entirely freely available. The Gospel, The simple Gospel. Jesus died for your sin , past present and future and He rose again for your justification so that you would realize that you are worthy , righteous and have peace with God. That’s it !
But we have this need to complicate life and this is the reason why no body wants to have anything to do with Christianity. Our sects , denominations and doctrines make it impossible for anyone to understand. But it’s Good News ! for heavens sake ! When did it become something we need to carry around like a burden ? I don’t want to be a Christian like that. I want to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit. And it’s simple. The rest of the word is every other word which confirms this simple truth. It’s examples of how Faith in The Word of Faith which is simply believing on the finished work of the cross of Christ.
If Jesus did everything on the cross and the thief which was on His right didn’t believe Jesus he wouldn’t have been saved. He had no time to study the bible to be saved. He was just saved because He believed Jesus. I can’t continue to be part of a circus who’s only aim it seems to me to be to sell books and give people big ego’s because of their ‘ ministry ‘ . I see nothing happening . I don’t see orphanages going up or hospitals being started in the name of Jesus. I see nothing except a bunch of screaming and yelling which simply creates more massive buildings. What ever happened to the laying on of hands by the faithful ? It’s something people just run to a mega church to their favorite celebrity preacher to do. It’s for you ! Just do it.
Read the word so it can influence you but the simple tenant is the cross , the cross , the cross from which all power is released to do ANYTHING. We will never become one body if we keep sticking to our favorite doctrine. Your doctrine separates you from the cross of Christ ! You’re either in Christ or out of Him by either believing in Jesus’s finished work or not. And this isn’t another doctrine ok , it’s simply the most simple and powerful element of the entire gospel. Jesus died for it which means it had to be pretty important to warrant Him dying for it. We partake of communion in order to remember and discern Him in it. It all speaks of the Cross.
I want to know nothing else except Jesus Christ and Him crucified among you. Paul’s own words. So today you have a choice. Focus and praise Jesus for His finished work or continue to feed your own ego so you can boost your own ego when you present what you think is the gospel. It isn’t ok. It has no power to save.
Do you want to walk in the armor of God ? Simply believe and walk in the Spirit. When you believe that every mistake you’ve ever made and are going to make is paid for you’ve got your armor on. You don’t have to physically put on your armor like a two year old although you can , nothing’s stopping you but it is on when you believe not when you religiously go about putting it on.
I pray today that you’ll see what I am trying to tell you here. Just believe and allow your Spirit to come alive for once in your life . Stop complicating things with ” you have a spirit a soul and a body ” So bloody what ! It doesn’t help dissecting yourself into small little pieces thinking that there is more power in that. If you want to be a psychologist go study it but don’t teach lies. Your body soul and spirit are an integral part of YOU. You’re one. Not three. You either believe or you don’t. Make your mind up.
